Beloit Wisconsin Parks and Recreation River Trails Festivals Family Activity (42)Volleyball League

Volleyball Leagues start the week of October 22 with a 14 game/week regular season followed by a seeded, single elimination tournament.  Coed and Women’s leagues will be played at Aldrich School and Men’s will be played at Fruzen School.  Please register by October 17th as schedules will be available on-line at teamsideline on October 17th.
COST: Team Registration Fee ONLY $190

Monday Coed – (Divisions A, B, C and D)
Tuesday Coed – (Divisions A, B, C and D)
Wednesday Women’s – (Divisions A, B, C and D)
Wednesday Men’s – (Divisions A, B, C and D)

Thursday Coed – (Divisions A, B, C and D) 

A League Teams– Highly competitive, play several nights a week all year long
B League Teams– Competitive, 3 hits, have played together in organized play
C League Teams– Fun, strive for 3 hits, different levels of ability
D League Teams– Strictly for fun, never participated any organized play,

Non-Contact Boxing Program (NEW)

Free program for Vets to help fight stress, have fun, sweat, laugh, and talk with other Vets! Improve your mental and physical wellness.

When:  Mondays from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm

 Adult Basketball League

All games will be played at the Beloit Memorial High School Field House on Wednesday nights starting January 4 at 7:00 pm. The following leagues are offered: Men’s Competitive; Men’s Recreation; Coed

Fees: The team registration fee is $290.00 per team. Registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. We cannot hold a space open for any team until we receive full payment

Team rosters are limited to 15 players, 18 years of age or older, and must be out of high school.

Wiffle Ball League

Nothing like outdoor wiffle ball! We use the outfield fence as our home run fence, use a custom made scoreboard, and anyone can play! This is a short fall league that runs about 6 weeks with a post season tournament for all. Join us Tuesday nights on the same field for kickball!     wiffleball packet

Kickball League

Played like softball with an 11 inch rubber ball, you betcha kickball is a blast! This is a short fall league that runs 7 weeks with a post season tournament for all. Join us Monday nights on the same field for wiffle ball!    kickball packet

Adult Pickleball

May 15 to September 27 (weather permitting) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm at Wootton Park Courts on Fourth Street – $20 for the whole Season!  We will provide the equipment!

Held during October through April on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Converse Elementary School.  Both nights are from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The first night will be October 9th (Tuesday) and October 11th (Thursday).
Cost for October through April is just $20 for one night or $35 for both nights for the season!.  All equipment is provided!  Please change into non marking gym shoes at the door.  Please use doors on the west side of the building.

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a whiffle ball, over a net.


Pickleball Independence Day Celebration Tournament

We will do our best to divide equal talents into 4 levels, this tournament is a FUN one! We will strive for 32 players (8 in 4 divisions, but will adjust if we get less-focus on the FUN). Please RSVP to schuttp@beloitwi.gov or call to register!

Water Aerobics

Improve strength, endurance, flexibility and well-being with this exhilarating 60 minute class! Our experienced instructor makes water aerobics fun and challenging for all fitness levels. Take advantage of discounts. No classes the week of 4th of July.

DATES: June 12 to August 2
DAYS: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
TIMES: 5:45-6:30 p.m
SEASON FEES: $25.00 for first class; $45.00 for both classes and $60.00 for all 3 classes. $15.00 each class for seniors.
AGES: All ages welcome


Adult Tennis Lessons (NEW THIS YEAR!)

Lessons are taught through Premier Tennis Pros and held at Beloit Memorial High School on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 9:00 am.  The cost is $35 for 5 weeks. 2 sessions are being offered:

Session 1 – June 16 to July 14

Session 2 – July 21 to August 18

Lessons:  All levels are welcome from beginner to advanced.  Drills will work on technique, strategy, and point play.


Women’s Self Defense Class

Saturday – July 25 at the Big Hill Center Upper level Conference Room at 1:00 pm
Cost is $30 and is for ages 13 and up

Learn to Log Roll at Krueger Pool

1/2 hour lessons on Saturday Mornings beginning at 10:45 am (June 23, 30, July 7, 14, & 21)

$50 per person or register for 2 people and it’s just $75.00 for both of you.

Log rolling is a sport that has evolved into a serious athletic event featured on ESPN Outdoor.

Recommended ages 6 to Adult


Professional Piano Lessons

Thursdays (June 14, 21, 28, July 5, 12, and 19) select a 30 minute block between 10:00 am and Noon.

Lessons are at Grinnell Hall Auditorium (631 Bluff Street)

Fee:  $100 includes 5 30 minute sessions and a $19 one time fee for materials (Theory and Lesson books which students keep)

Ages 6 and up

Classes are taught by Karen Koyama an instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience.  Topics include reading music, beginning skills, music theory and even some music history.  Class will conclude with a recital to show off new skills!  We look forward to sharing the love of music!

We’re always evolving our workouts and trying new things to make sure you are highly motivated.
