The City of Beloit Parks & Recreation Department encourages everyone to get fresh air and stay strong mentally and physically during the “Safer at Home” Executive Order.

However, for you and your children’s safety, we are closing the playgrounds.

“SAFER AT HOME” EXECUTIVE ORDER:

On page 8 of Gov Evers’ “Safer at Home” Executive Order, he lists the following information pertaining to Essential Activities and Outdoor Activity:Individuals may leave their home or residence to perform any of the following:

  • Outdoor activity. To engage in outdoor activity, including visiting public and state parks, provided individuals comply with Social Distancing Requirements as defined below. Such activities include, by way of example and without limitation, walking, biking, hiking, or running. Individuals may not engage in team or contact sports such as by way of example and without limitation, basketball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, or football, as these activities do not comply with Social Distancing Requirements. Playgrounds are closed.

This order is effective 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24 through Friday, April 24.
