Krueger Swim Team (Recreational Swim Team)
For all those swimmers interested in recreational swimming, here’s your chance! Emphasis on stroke and skill development, plus conditioning, will be part of this program. All practices will be designed according to age and skill. MUST be able to swim one length of the pool to participate on the Krueger Swim Team. Youth Golf Tournaments
Tennis Lessons at Beloit Memorial High School
Lessons are taught by Janesville’s Premier Tennis Pros on Saturday mornings and are located at Beloit Memorial High School’s tennis courts on the north end of the high school.
Session 1: June 13 – July 18 * No class July 4th
Session 2: July 25 – August 22
Ages 3-6 from 9:00 am to 9:45 am: $25.00
Using Quick Start approach, children are taught using balls that bounce lower and don’t move as fast so they are easier to hit.
Ages 7-8 from 9:45 am to 10:30 am: $25.00
Students will further develop tennis strokes, ground-strokes, volleys and the serve. Footwork drills and pint playing will be introduced.
Ages 9-12 from 10:30 am to 12:00: $50.00
Students will refine stroke mechanics with major emphasis on improving the consistency and accuracy of groundstrokes, volleys, overheads and learning the rules of the game.
Ages 13-18 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm: $50.00
This group is designed for high school players or advanced middle schoolers. Drills become more intense and focused on strategy, point play for singles and doubles.
Adult from 8:00 am to 9:00 am: $35.00
All levels are welcome from Beginner to Advanced. Drills will work on technique, strategy, and point play. Drills will be fast paced and keep you moving.
PARK & RECREATION TOURNAMENT AGAINST 7 AREA PARK & RECREATION PROGRAMS
This Park & Recreation Tournament is included in the cost of the youth tennis lessons and only for those who sign up for the above youth tennis lessons. It will be held at the end of each session indoors at Premier Tennis and Fitness, located at 3410 Bell Street in Janesville (behind Target). This is a great opportunity to show what you have learned each session by competing in a tournament against players from the Janesville, Fort Atkinson, Whitewater, Beloit, Stoughton, Oregon and Milton Park and Recreation youth tennis programs. Points will be awarded at the tournament to each program/city based on attendance and success in the games/matches played. There will be prizes given out to the Park & Recreation program with the most points accumulated during the tournament, as well as prizes given out to individual winners.

Big Hill Adventure Camp
The City of Beloit is partnering with the Welty Environmental Center for the third year to bring you Big Hill Adventure Camp! Each week will be packed with various outdoor adventure activities based on the week’s theme along with a field trip. Campers will enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, exploring, paddle boating, crafting and so much more. Your campers will not want to miss a week of this crazy fun summer experience.
On Wednesdays, we will host camp at the Rotary Center at Riverside Park. This will give us the opportunity to incorporate water and river aspects into camp. Pick-up and drop-off will be at the Rotary Center on Wednesdays ONLY!
PLEASE NOTE: PRE-REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE BY 3:00 PM. DAY OF REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. You are able to register and pay for the whole summer also.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A JR. CAMP COUNSELOR?
The City of Beloit Parks & Rec Dept. is looking for junior camp counselors ages 13 to 15 to volunteer for our Big Hill Adventure Camp from June 8 to August 14. This is a non-paid, volunteer position that offers teens valuable training and experience. Junior camp counselors will work under the supervision of the senior camp counselors on a daily basis Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Junior camp counselors will be required to attend all staff training and meetings; an excellent opportunity to learn valuable skills and explore the exciting world of recreation.

Wacky Wednesday Camp
Join us for another fun summer of wacky fun each Wednesday with our wonderfully, wacky camp staff. Each Wednesday follows a theme and participants will make new friends, play outdoor games, create crafts and explore. Register early as space is limited!

Touch a Truck!
We are gathering as many BIG TRUCKS as possible from our community, all for you to enjoy! Talk with the operators, touch heavy duty equipment, and find out just what these monsters can do! Fun for all ages! This event is weather permitting and will be cancelled if there is inclimate weather and will not be re-scheduled.

Beloit Dirty Dash – 8/22/2020
The Beloit Dirty Dash is open to kids, 4 to 18 years old who are looking for a fun yet challenging obstacle course. We guarantee participants will get dirty and sweaty! There will be several obstacles and a ton of mud on each course! We suggest wearing comfortable clothing and shoes that you won’t mind getting dirty or throwing away. Costumes and groups are also encouraged! Adult must pre-register and is free to do.
4th of July Bike Decorating Parade Ages 3 to 12
Start your 4th of July off with a BANG and bring your bike or scooter (not motorized) to Riverside Park for the annual Kids Bike Parade. Participants will be able to let their creativity go wild by decking out their wheels. Decorating will begin at 9:30 am and all supplies will be provided by the City of Beloit, free of charge. The parade travels around the lagoon will start at 10:00 am. Awards will be presented for most creative based on age groups the day of. Pre-registration required and limited to the first 50 kids.

Recreational Tree Climbing
Guided by trained, certified staff, participants will climb into trees, utilizing ropes, saddles and techniques according to industry safety standards, as well as minimizing the impact on the trees. Climbers will progress at their own pace, on their own rope. This activity helps to build self- confidence and creates and strengthens awareness and appreciation for community trees and parks.

Pumpkins in Horace White Park! Free
Get your family together and come out for a pumpkin hunt! Families will participate in a pumpkin scavenger hunt through Horace White Park. Prizes will be given to all participants who turn in their completed scavenger hunt sheet (while supplies last).
